An awesome little book from 1968. Written by Christine Woyke and illustrated by Stina Nagel. As usual I really love the clothes the kidlets are wearing. Some hip duds!
Hi Cookie! Yep, I do. Years of thrift shopping....and kid's books are fairly slender and don't take up tooo much space!
Leslie—no way! you had this one?? The one I'm dying to find is The Boy Who WOuldn't Eat Breakfast. I can see in my mind the cool mid century drawings of the little guy sitting at breakfast and feeding a sausage to his dachshund who was hiding under the table!!
I LOVE that you post all of these books. I have been eyeing a bunch of vintage books at a local used book store - my only problem is space but I really REALLY want to start a collection for Moira (and myself).
My name is Alexandra, but lots of people call me Alix. You might also know me as galexiegirl on eBay or Flickr. I like things that are colorful and quirky: fashion, design, illustration and photography. If it’s vintage? Even better! This is a collection of all things awesome, with a few snippets of personal life thrown in fer good measure. You can also find me over at modernkiddo.com.
I remember reading that book! Crazy! This certainly brought me back! Thanks for the sweet childhood reminder!
ReplyDeleteI love the illustrations in vintage children books. You must have a huge collection of them! Thanks for sharing.
